A Note on 5E Tactics...
So one of the main styles of post on this blog is 5E monster tactics for particular Iron Kingdoms critters and you'll note that I use a particular method to do this, following some basic premises and extrapolating from there, tweaking and adjusting as needed to account for my understanding of the particular lore.
In case it is not clear, I did *not* invent this approach.
The amazing Keith Ammann did, detailing his method and examples on his blog "The Monsters Know What They're Doing (Ready-to-Use Tactics for D&D 5E)" and his follow-up first book and third book. His second book contains his thoughts on player tactics and is also well worth checking out.
I contacted Keith when I started this project and he gave me the go-ahead, so long as I attributed and linked to his work - this page is a summary to be sure, but you'll notice I have linked to particular articles that I reference, whether they be more "meta" or detail similar standard creatures that I compare to an Iron Kingdom counterpart or one that seems to fulfill a similar role.
I strongly suggest you read the books - better still buy them!
No, I don't get any money from this, I'm just a huge fan LOL..
For those of you looking for a bit more background, I suggest the following of Keith's articles to start with, which I find useful and should give you some idea of his method:
